Description

User summary: The Aurora: Quick-Start Guide (60 pages) was distributed with four supplemental PDF files, namely: Combat Flow Chart (1 page), Encounter Sheet (1 page), Equipment and Weapons List (6 pages), and Weapons Chart (3 pages). The Aurora: Quick-Start Guide, distributed for free, presented a complete rule set that was scaled down from the full release which was sold commercially. The game was a fairly traditional "hard" science fiction role-playing game that used the novel "Push Dice System" where players were assumed to succeed unless they rolled a failure. The system allowed the players to select how many dice to roll in a pool but each additional dice carried a potential failure. Managing dice pools was therefore of major significance during play.
