Asticlian Gambit continues the story started in Freedom (DS1) and the events of The Road to Urik (DSQ1) and Arcane Shadows (DSQ2). The players find themselves enjoying the lush environment of Gulg and the Crescent Forest. But as pleasant climes seduce the players, a game is to unfold between the Oba of Gulg, the Shadow King of Nibenay, and the mysterious Asticles family of Tyr. The module is designed for 4 to 6 characters of 7th to 10th level. The module can be played as a stand along adventure or as a continuation of Freedom (DS1), Road to Urik (DSQ1), and Arcane Shadows (DSQ2). Included in the module is a short work of fiction "Boneyard Lights" written by Allen Varney and Aaron Allston. The core of the module contains 2 spiral bound books with the the adventure. One book is for the players and the other contains the DM's information.
