From the introduction: After a good deal of time spent in the woods dealing with the rigors of the wild, the adventurers should be relieved to find a small village where travelers are welcome and in which they can put their feet up and recover. Through casual conversation and business dealings (finding a place to stay for the night), it will become evident that the inhabitants of this tiny community are unusually open minded and cooperative. Nearly everyone will treat the player characters with respect and deal with them on even terms. In the savage and unfriendly world of Rifts, such a community should be a welcome reprieve.
