Arkeos was published in the guise of small magazines with the first one being the core rule book. This first issue covered the following topics : Casting (page 4 to 25) Everything needed to create the characters (attributes, traits, skills, archetypes, etc.) Moteur ! (page 26 to 29) The game mechanics and action resolution. Action ! (page 30 to 41) The combat system. An important section as Arkeos is an action oriented game, it features lots of fights, pursuits and other confrontations. Mise en scène (page 42 to 44) The usual advices to the game master section. Effets spéciaux (page 45 to 51) The use of powers, magic and other unatural things. Fortune et gloire (page 52) How to get experience points and what to do with them and other rewards as reputation. Budget (page 53 and 54) Equipment listings with prices. Époque (page 55 to 65) Presenting the years 1930 to 1939 with major events and covering many aspects of everyday life. Scénario (page 66 to 75) "L'ombre du conquistador", a scenario for 2 to 4 players to be played in about 6 hours.
