This party of pre-generated characters is actually the author's favorite way to introduce newcomers to The Princess Bride RPG. The characters are all "Wandering Farmhands" - that is, similar to Westley when he set off to make his fortune near the beginning of the movie. Players can be either "young Westleys" or "young Buttercups" - and the concept has always been very well received. This set of adventurers was submitted by the author for the The Princess Bride Roleplaying Game Quick Start Rules but was replaced by the publisher.
