The Amazing Spider-Man: Lethal Foes (スパイダーマン リーサルフォーズ?) is a 1995 Japan-exclusive action video game for the Super Famicom. Aside from Spider-Man, characters featured included Beetle, Lizard, Mysterio, Alistair Smythe, Green Goblin, Scorpion, Venom, Doctor Octopus, and Carnage. Between the title screen and the in-game demonstration, a short biography of every character involved in this video game is shown in Japanese along with a suitable background. The player needs to press the Start button on the "Go!Spidey" selection in the main menu in order to start the game, instead of the usual Start Game or Start option. This is a product of the quirkiness surrounding the Spider-Man franchise in addition to most Japanese video games at that time.
