In addition to the All Japan Pro Wrestling athletes featured on the roster, the game includes two of Sega's well known Virtua Fighter characters Wolf and Jeffry (characters that fight with a professional wrestling style in the Virtua Fighter line of games). The game includes ten wrestlers from All Japan Pro Wrestling, Wolf and Jeffry from the Virtua Fighter series, and one hidden wrestler. The game has four modes of play (for the home version): a single player arcade mode, a two player versus mode, a career mode, and training mode.
