Alcatraz (Revised)

From publisher blurb: Alcatraz is an island in the San Francisco bay in old California originally located at 37°49'36.49"N by 122°25'14.66"W before the formation of Neo-Pangaea. Its proximity to the ruins of ancient San Francisco is the same, however, the entire continent has drifted east more than a thousand miles. Over the many years since the cataclysm this island has been claimed by pirates, local feudal governments, and mysterious agencies. There are many local rumors of monsters, giant crab, ghost and even zombie infestation. The most worrisome documented use of this island is as a research station sponsored by a group of scientists working for a corporate conglomerate. There are many stories as to just what they were doing but what is perhaps most obvious, by choice of location, is thy needed both privacy and security.
