Game Info

Description

An educational game developed in the 1950s for help with math and mathematics. Card decks were in theory split up between various mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and so on). Game was intended to be used in school as a drill and at home as a game and a learning tool. Play consists of players laying down "books" of cards, where a "book" is a card of equal value. Each card has a math function on it dependent on the function the deck is trying to teach. For example, multiplication would feature a 3x2, 3x3, 3x4 and so on. Other players can lay down cards from their own hand that match the book just played. Players then draw one card from the draw pile (called the Stack) or from the discard pile. You can draw any card in the discard pile but must take all of the cards on top of that. Game ends when one player has no cards in hand. Then points are assigned based on how many cards are in front of each player. Player with the most points wings. —user summary
