From the introduction: Afterlivesis a role-playing metagame that asks what happens to fantasy RPG player characters when they die. Since the game would be dull (not to mention short) if the answer was ‘You roll up a new one’, we’ll assume that their souls go to a suitable afterlife — their religion’s equivalent of heaven, hell or various points in between, but always the one they deserve. Deciding that final fate and destination is what Afterlives is all about.
