Aegis Fort

Publisher's blurb: I have never seen Grizkh so excited. He stopped examining tracks and paced through the fine sand of Aegis Desert. He wanted to repay me for kindness I've shown him, not realizing that I needed him more than the other way around. He was proud of being raised by monks in the desert temple – feeling more significant than he thought of himself. Eastern sun blinded us when as we approached tall temple walls. My eyes adjusted as I allowed myself to perceive – this was no monk temple at all. My eyes met the panic of Grizkh's. Dozen brush helmets pointed shiny crossbows at us. Commander in white armor took off his helmet and bellowed: "In the name of Heliod, stop where you are!"
