You have just been made captain of the failing merchant ship Cat o’ Nine Sails. Congratulations! Unfortunately, you may have celebrated too much; you have a series of deliveries due all over the archipelago in a few short days, and in your revelry you managed to destroy your only set of maps. You need to figure out where you are headed, and fast, or else… well, the previous captain did not exactly retire. In A Little Dinghy, one or two players work together to re-build a map and plot a successful trade route. Each turn, one player must add a card to the map, making sure to obey certain restrictions. Once all cards have been placed, the players must be able to trace a trade route across all the islands in the map that doesn't cross over itself. There is, however, one catch; the players must keep all cards in their hands at all times, including the map itself. If a player ever lets a card drop, they immediately lose the game. If players can build the map successfully and plot out their trade route, they win the game! In addition to the base game, A Little Dinghy comes with nine scenarios that add unique rules and challenges to the game, and a career mode that can be used to chain multiple games into a campaign. —description from the designer
