User summary: A Fistful of Destinies provides a card-based mechanism that replaces the innovative "percentile" system used in Generic Destinies. A Fistful of Destinies is not a complete game by itself. The method works by having each player hold a hand of cards from a standard deck of playing cards. Players then "bid" by playing cards to generate a result. The first card holds the "tens" place and any other cards are summed for the "ones" place (which may carry to the "tens"). Hands often are suit-restricted (limiting play) based on the Stat or Skill target level. Face cards, Aces, and Jokers all are "special case" cards.
