From the introduction: The player characters have decided to take a young half-elf Erroll up on an adventuring job offer of freeing a nearby settlement of a secret necromantic tyrant. The players are due to arrive in Grandalton the night before the town’s third year anniversary. Errol has no idea about the celebration, and thanks to arriving in the middle of the night, the players’ only hints are the decorative banners on buildings and bridges in town.
