This ensures that the libraries are constantly shifting, allowing passengers to choose new books for every trip. Spiders have become particularly popular as pets recently, and the larger the arachnid the more prestige it seems to bring to the one who keeps it. These spiders are often seen riding on their owners' shoulders, or in a "web pocket" on the hip made from netting and wire. One reason that size has become a defining factor is that the larger a spider is, the less venomous it tends to be, and the softer its hairs will be on its owner's skin.
