Description

Publisher Blurb: Players may insist on searching through every scrap of paper looking for clues and other information. This is a list, primarily aimed at the 20th century and later but parts can be adapted to other settings, of 100 different scribbles for their characters to find in such a situation. Scribbles that look important, or to have hidden meaning. Unless the GameMaster decides otherwise, none of these scribbles are actually important. Most do have meaning, and the meanings are explained, but that doesn't make the scribbles actually important. They are the random jottings people make and in some cases are simply random gibberish. Although players may waste time seeking the, nonexistent, hidden meaning. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here are some random results: 79.91 years from 11.2 to 25.6 (The orbital period of Alpha Centauri A and Alpha Centauri B around their common centre and the distance between them in Astronomical Units from closest to furthest) 8&frac;12;” × 13&frac;12;” (The size of a piece of foolscap folio paper) 8:32, departed, 9:01 arrived, 12:14-12:31, 5:34 left, 6:09 returned, no further activity (Times that a watched person left home for work, left work for lunch and returned home) 87.97, 224.70, 365.26, 686.98, 4,332.82, 10,755.70, 30,687.15, 60,190.03, 90,560, 180,291 (Orbital periods in days of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto with an extra number tacked on the end) 9-12, 1-5 (Opening hours of somewhere that closes for lunch) One page is the front cover and one the front matter.
