Description

Publisher Blurb: Dungeons often contain bodies, whether these be of slain foes or those of previous adventurers who succumbed to the dangers. These can simply be described as being a corpse, perhaps of a particular race, or they can be given a more detailed description This supplement contains 100 different corpses. Many are descriptions that can be added to any desired body whilst some relate to specific races and monsters. Not all need to be used in a dungeon either. Some are perplexing, some appear to warn of hazards and creatures that characters may meet (or maybe not; that's up to the GM) and some have died in odd and sometimes very nasty ways, suitable for darker settings. The various corpses have descriptions that can be read aloud to players and notes for GMs including further details that can be discovered on investigation. Note: The supplement describes dead things, often ones which have died unpleasantly. They may not be suitable for everyone. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here is a sample result: Entombed - Sticking out of the rock floor of the room are a head and one arm, both of which have had the flesh eaten off them. (The rest of the corpse, the victim of a transmute mud to rock spell or similar, is encased in the rock. If the corpse is extracted from the rock, such as with a transmute rock to mud spell or 4d10 turns with a pickaxe or other suitable implement - which will result in Perception checks for nearby creatures to hear the noise and for wandering monster rolls, if applicable, to be more common, most of the rest of the flesh has been eaten as well; scavengers used the hole left by the throat to gain access to the rest of the body.) One page is the front cover, one page the front matter, one page the Open Game License and about a third of a page is ads for other supplements. This supplement is also available in a system neutral version. This is a bit shorter and doesn't have the Pathfinder stats for items. You do not need to buy both versions.
