Description

Publisher Blurb: This is a collection of genuine books that are suitable for a modern setting, or its post-apocalyptic aftermath, that can be used to flesh out a bookshelf, allowing the GameMaster to give examples of what books can be found if asked. These books cover a range of subjects that fall broadly into self help, personal improvement and motivational. Each book entry gives its name, author(s), publication year and some brief details of the contents. The publication years range from the 19th century to the 21st, with the majority being at the latter end of the 20th century and onwards. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here are some sample results: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change by Stephen R. Corey (1989, attain goals by aligning with universal principles, being proactive, beginning with the end in mind, putting first things first, think win-win, see to understand then be understood, synergise and continual improvement) The 9 Dimensions of Conscious Success: It’s All About YOU! by David E. Nielson (2018, how to define your purpose to achieve conscious success with three pillars to build on and six differentiators) The Art of Doing: How Superachievers Do What They Do and How They Do It So Well by Camille Sweeney and Josh Gosfield (2013, principles from three dozen successful people from media, business, sport, the arts and other fields, including ten traits those interviewed shared) The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene (2001, analyses nine types of seducers, using historical figures, and eighteen types of victims, with 24 seduction techniques for getting people to fall under the seducer’s spell) The Chimp Paradox: The Mind Management Programme to Help You Achieve Success, Confidence and Happiness by Prof Steve Peters (2012, understanding the struggle that takes place in the mind and using this to manage emotions, thoughts and yourself, with practical habits to become the person you want to be) One page is the front cover, one the front matter and around one page is ads.
